Dear Friends,
As we prepare to enter the warmer months I pray that we would not become distracted. There is something that the Lord wants to do in us and through us and we cannot allow anything to keep us from it. As I’m writing this I’m in the state of Florida promoting “Amazing Faith” and Jump Start. This year on May 14-16 pastors and leaders from around the country will be coming to our church to get inspired and to discover new ideas for their own ministries through our annual Jumpstart conference. Please join us those three nights at Clemente for fellowship, motivation and inspiration. Then, on May 21st-23rd we will head out to Puerto Rico to host our very first Jump Start (“Enciende”) conference there. Please pray for us. In the month of May expect it to be a promising 31 days of instruction and joy as I will be preaching a sermon series called “Lessons 4 Life”. The very first in our series is “Learn”. Don’t forget on May 13, Mother’s Day, we will have a Christian comedian for the second lesson, which is “laugh”. The final two lessons for the month are called “Love” and “Live”.
This past month we had an amazing time studying the book of Romans chapter by chapter, verse by verse. We will continue with this in depth study of the Bible every Wednesday with another letter, Ephesians. Please begin to read this book and pray that God would speak to you as you open his Word.
Finally, I want to thank all the members and friends who gave 5 percent or more for the land offering in the month of April. I am pleased to announce that we collected $46,371.41. To God be the glory! I have learned that God doesn’t have a problem getting money to us, the problem is getting it through us and I am so pleased to report that so many are understanding how blessed it is to give.
Last but not least, we congratulate all of the 2012 graduates. We are so proud of you. Whether you are graduating from Chicago Master’s Commission or you reached your goal of an associate, bachelor, master or doctorate degree. We salute you and pray blessings over the next phase of your life.
